Some questions and a Tip needed

I received the game a couple of days ago and enjoyed it since then, but have some questions rgarding gameplay and a need for a tip. Can you help??
1-
I started to play and maded some "official" and some missions on my own. I still have the ugly ship that they give to you at the start and started to think in a update. I'm on battleship Missouri, what will be better, return to Manhattan and buy a Patriot or buy the Defender on Missouri BB?? I have enough money but don'w know If make the step shorter or larger.

2-
I have now the "freedom" of visit other systems, how can I acces them and can I visit systems like the one founded by the Hispania Ship?? lol I'm spanish

3-
I maded some commerce with my ship, nothing important but let me pay the repairs, buy some weapons... If I load my ship with cargo will react as a more heavy fighter? You know slowest and fat??

That's it, I'm enjoying the game a lot, more much that I thinked when I buy it very cheap, can stop playing it. Thank's for your time and responses!!
Cya!

1. its more personal preference than anything else, you want manuverable and less well armed or moderately sluggish but enough firepower to desntigrate some ships in one pass if your lucky.

2. use jumpgates to get to other systems by simply docking with them, and you wil eventually be able to get to the system that has the hispania sleeper but not for awhile yet.

3. cargo doesn't change your manuverability or speed that i know of.

What ship you buy is up to you. I bought a Junker ship next, simply because I thought it would be fun to fly a "pirate" ship.

A bit of advice, since you are just starting. When Juni calls you for a mission, let her wait. She will. Meanwhile, you can hunt for wrecks (good way to get great FREE cargo and weapons), mine (shoot at small asteroids or at scrap metal) or just fly around and fill in those empty spaces on your map. The temptation is to race through the game the first time. But relax and let Juni sit boozing in the bars as she does. Taking things more slowly means you can make more money to buy better ships, shields and weapons -- which you will need as the game goes on.

You will find the Spanish systems soon enough. But they won't seem to care if you are Spanish too. Expect them to give you a nasty welcome!

You'll sometimes encounter Liberty pilots with Spanish names. Must have been some American Hispanics on the sleeper ship Liberty.

Thank's for the info, is possible to fly any "Spanish" ship out there??

Will be fun to make Juni waits, I have soem things to explore right now. I will buy the smaller ship right now, I always will hae the oportunity to update.

Yep. But that is far into the game yet. I won't say more than that, except the Spanish factions make damn good ships. Just keep playing along -- you should encounter some of those Spaniards in Manhattan when you least want to. They are tough fighters, probably the best NPC fliers in the game. Try to get some of their guns whenever you can.

p.s. I've recognised a Portuguese name or two. They must have sneaked aboard the Hispania.
