Minor problem with Chips Open SP mod...

I downloaded the file, and followed the read me directions.

I successfully installed both the lite version, and also the viper/cylon ship mod. Both work fine in the FLMM.

But with Chips Open SP, I get this message in the FLMM....

"Unable to load mod!
Parsing error on line 4125: No </data> found (in 'C:\Program Files\Freelancer Mod Manager\mods\Chips Open SP version\script.xml')
Parsing mod script...
Found mod: C:\Program Files\Freelancer Mod Manager\mods\Chips Open SP version
--------------------"

Can anyone help with this?

Thanks.

open the 'script.xml' file in notepad, scroll right to the bottom and add the line
</data>
just before the line
</script>

</script> should be the last line in the file, </data> second last

Shadow_killer..Yeah, I got the SP Lite to work, but the full version has some extra goodies worth looking at.

marc_1... Crap. You know, If I was paying better attention, i would have realized that. You're right.

Thanks guys.

Hey...Just for the record, there's actually 3 </data> lines missing. The last three sections of the script are all missing the data closure line.

At least on the version I downloaded. Someone else had to have come across this before, and I'm a little surprised the faulty version wasn't replaced with a corrected one for the download.

But it's working now.

Thanks again.

That is because the faults only became apparent around 6 months after it was made... when a newer version of FLMM came out, which parsed scripts better (picking up on the error).

I never submitted an updated version though.

Ahhh. No worries Chips. Things happen. I used to do a lot of modding for Ghost Recon, I remember late nights of putting together patch fixes for crap someone would find after I thought I had it all together.

I know I'm coming into the freelancer arena a bit late, but this was a great mod idea.

Thanks to you I'm free to do whatever I want without that pesky Juni and a whole lot of locked gates. :p

Cheers.
