Engine kill is Z , Brake reverse is X

Ship Controls
Accelerate W or mouse wheel forward
Decelerate S or mouse wheel backward
Engine Kill Z
Brake Reverse X
Cruise Engine Toggle Shift + W

you mean ive been using the wrong button the whole time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that explains why i lose deuls so much...

Tap once to kill the engine, the x or brake revers, to brake then go into reverse speed, though it is slow.

Hitting you with a Cruise Disruptor, an enemy can get you out of engine kill mode back into normal flight. Keep this in mind when dueling someone.
