Seeking single player mod/tc with new ships

Hello,

I've tried the WTS world mod, which is not really meant for single player, and had fun. But I am looking for a mod with big ships, cruisers etc, and new ship models hopefully with guns.

Please recommend one if you have tried it.

Yes I have seen the mod forums have not found quite what I'm looking for.

ps. Single player playable important.

Hey dude! I think i might know what you're looking for.

Try the rebalance, a lot of people pley that, although i've never tried it.
I prefer to play the awesome TNG mods... So much fun.
As for total conversion, maybe the Privateer mod.
If you look at the news page it has some decent ones.

What's the deal on the "TNG" mods? Is it... The Next Generation i.e. Star Trek?

The TNG mods are The Next Generation, yes, but they have ships from just about everywhere, including some that you won't see anywhere else.

Try the Tie universe. The switch over to Star wars ships, including swapping the bayttle ships for star destroyers. And star Wars music as well.
