Wouldnt it be great to play in the Alliance-Coalition war?
A mod of this would be brilliant. Or it could be that someone has managed to make a hyperdrive for a ship and goes back to Earth etc etc.
I know this may not be the right forum but if someone made this mod then it would be great, imagine flying through space with a whole host of new ships and weaponry far advanced than in the normal Freelancer. Imagine fighting the Dom Kavosh or other aliens.

Or mabye you could be a person in the Coalition (They won right?) after the war.
Mabye im wrong but wern't the Nomads coming after the Coalition anyway?
Mabye you meet the Dom Kavosh or other aliens.

Even if this mod isnt possible, is it possible to make a new nav map?
One not saying Sirius but mabye Sol? Could you not just fix in a new backround with newnames and then insert the systems? You can insert new systems anywhere right? Why not get rid of the old ones and start off in a new one?

If any of this is possible could you please tell me?

Try Starlancer! That's what Freelancer comes from. It's a very different game, but you might like it. Go to the Starlancer forum and you can download the demo. You also might be able to find the game cheaply enough on eBay or somewhere.

yes possible, a mod team is actualy atm busy making a mod like this, it's still in an early stage though Warunleashed Mod

I was just thinking, in the opeing video clip, it said that it's been 800 years sence the 5 ships left for the seirus system... So wahts happend to Sol? (earth and all). I'm still new at playing the game, but loving it, is there any 'weird' jumps that take you to earth? or something like that? I'm still working my way to finnish the missions (again, save games are done for a reason ya know, note to self, save other than autosave.....) It would be intresting to see what has become of it. Have they reached peace? Is it just gone, some catacysmic (sp) event. What other races could be introduced.... IT would be kinda neat....

Dustdevil, there is an extended intro movie made by Digital Anvil that didn't make it into the game. Look in the Freelancer downloads section under movies.

I think it's called Edited Startup Movie. It shows the fate of the Sol system

But since it wasn't used in the final version of the game, who knows if it is what has happened???

I want a starlancer mod for freelancer but then again im also claiming to be the most insane person not in a mental instatusion.

lol . Too cheap to buy Starlancer? You can't really make a campaign on FL because no one knows how (poorly written code).

Ive got starlancer i just want to use the same fighters in freelancer.
