Sound Improvement in FL
Esquilax's thread on MP3 5.1 reminded me of something that we posted a long time ago but haven't seen in quite some time. It truly makes a huge difference in the sound quality of the game.
Go to "Sound Devices" in the control panel, click the hardware tab, highlight audio codecs and click properties, click the properties tab, then the properties button, highlight "fraunhofer IIS MPEG layer 3 codec", click the properties button, and switch its priority to number 1. Then just keep hitting ok till you get back to the control panel. Makes a huge difference on 5.1 systems, and also seems to help reduce crash to desktop errors.
I'd forgotten about this one, and with all our new members, I thought I'd bring it up again. Give it a shot.
