What planet would this be, and what base?

I think it is planet Camebridge with just a satalite in orbit

Yeah I don't see any lights on the nightside of the planets but I don't know whether that's because my graphics card is as old as the hills

It is quite possible that the lights on that planet didn't make it into the final version, although I must say I haven't been to Britonia in quite some time.

I've got lights on planet camebridge also look at planet leeds it also has lights on the darkside.

Yup, thats definately planet Cambridge. You can tell by the blue and red background. The sattelite is sitting on the far side of the cambridge research station, and as that is a fairly pointless place to visit its possible that the lights are in the full version.
However, upon closer examination the lights are very blocky and have similar patterns to those found on leeds, so they probably werent finished and left out.
