You mean the hud or the cockpit? Cause you can get the cockpit just by pressing ctrl+v. The hud's bogus though. Look like someones spending to much time with photoshop.

I wouldn't say it's bogus. More likely it's from an earlier build of the game and therefore inaccessible.

You see, they are screenshots from a MUCH earlier build of the game, at a time when it looked very different. Unfortunately, there's no way to make it like that...which is kind of a shame.

That's right. Apparently they were once a proper part of Freelancer but were removed. The only thing you really lose from that though is the radar, everything else is still there, just in a different place.

You can download Privateer on line, though I think it's a DOS game. Great HUDs on it though. Certainly would be nice if they'd upgrade it to Win98 and beyond.

p.s. Ain't gonna happen though.

The pics just appear to be a less streamlined version of the normal interface on FL.
BTW, what does priviteer have anything to do with it?

Well for one, Priv and FL were created by the same person. Second, they are pretty similar, (except FL looks better.) Lastly, PRIV had Wing Commander attached to it, so I liked the universe better. I guess its a little off topic though.

Actually he's right. The same music that was in Privateer the darkening is in FL...to an extent. They are only snippets now...but I remember them like it was yesterday.
One in particular you can hear when your flying through Liberty space. It was the same tune as Privateer when you were on the planet before you entered into one of the consoles...don't remember rightly what they called them now..it has been a while.
Of course...there are those that say that FL was to be the next Privateer...not really sure about that one....but thats what I've heard on different forums.
Personally...I like Fl for FL...its an easy enough game to get the hang of and the controls are pretty good...so I like it...Oh...and the graphics are excellent too...way better than anything we had back in the late 80's early 90's
