Nav Map Question

I just noticed something on the Nav Map. Some bases have asterisks on the labels. When you zoom in, the asterisks disappear. Any idea what they actually mean/signify?

i think there just there to help you see the base! but what do i know?

more than 1 base is there. u only see 1 or 2 of the names, the rest a re hiddin 'till you zoom in

Or a name is covering them up. You could know about them, but the name of, say, Plannet New Berlin is displayed above The Ring. --- VH16
