just wondering if somebody could explain some terms that these forums use. Ex. grave digging, trolling etc...

They're generic terms you'll find on most forums.

Gravedigging (bumping) is making a nonsense post, specifically intended to bring an old, usually dead topic to the top of the list.

Trolling is making posts that while not strictly offensive, incite others to be offensive. Gravedigging is usually viewed as a type of trolling, because it makes other people annoyed.

It's just an unwritten rule that once a thread dies, you leave it dead. People want the live topics to be accessible, not buried under a ton of resurrected ones.

other terms that may come in handy. Spamming is just making a post with little or no relevent or new information. Flaming, as I understand it, is openly hostile posts to another TLR member. And "spoiler," is one of the more hazily defined terms. Some define it as anything that might ruin gameplay for someone who has not explored/completed the game. Others as only revealing a fact that will totally destroy any fun in playing FL (like revealing certain names and factions you hook up with in the game). People have varrying degrees of spoiler-ness, but they generally have the same reaction. Either move it or delete it. Personally I feel that if you'd only know it was a spoiler if you have played or are playing that mission, then it's not a spoiler. --- VH16
