rebalance mod and dexter hovis

I have been replaying freelancer with rebalance mod version 3.40 and I got to the point where you have to race dexter.
In the normal game i just used the hovis hack to beat him but now the hivis hack conflicts with rebalance mod and i was wondering if someone could host/give me a link to a save game for right after you beat him. dont complain say that I didnt try to beat him, I tried about 60 times and broke my keyboard and i dont want to do that again. So if you know where i can get a saved game for this please tell me.

Have you tried 1st perspective [cockpit view? That is the only way I was able to beat him after trying several times. In fact the first time I played SP after trying 4/5 times I went & explored up thru Tau Systems & into Kusari Space. Then came back and finally got thru.

It is hard to soar with eagles when you fly with turkeys.

The easyest way to be Hovis in a modded game is to have a good thruster and use it and not the cruise engine. Decent power supply helps too.

I have tried it first person and thirdperson but it still dosnt work.
