There are lots of stereotypes everwere in freelacner.... Rheinland sounds alot like Pre WW2 Germany..... The Kusari seem to be very Xenopobic and being sexist( I'v noticed when you talk to the Kusari, they seem to use the
"Gaigin" word, In its Context its like calling somone a "Nigger" .), Liberty is very arrogent, and its coperations have control over other Houses..... and Bertonia with its bad labour relations and its Aristcrats(well other houses seem to have bad Labour relations and Aristcrats aswell) I think the makers of freelancer did this for a reason

They did it so we wouldn't feel out of place. Honestly, no one knows what the world will be like in 800+ years (think of the political situation in the 1100's). Instead of going out on a limb and guessing what could be (Liberty is now a workers socialist paradise?) they decided to do a charicature of our current groups, and I like the result. The exagurations keep the houses clearly sepparate, and provide for a bit of amusing irony (like Dublin wanting to secede, again). --- VH16

The elite class probably brought along their servents, who eventually escaped and formed the hell hole we call leeds. --- VH16

I did not think Trent was himself a Bretonian. All that I remember is that the storyline said that Tobis raised him. Nothing was realy said that he was his Dad. So its entirely possable that he was from somewere else.

Trent was aprenticed to Tobias. That made him Bretonian. Not that he was born there.
