The Awakaning
50 years after Freelancer: Tensions are running high between the ISRA and the Bretonian Armed Forces. (ISRA=Irish Space Republican Army). The Bretonian government has decided that the system Dublin is going to be the base for their new project, named Dolphin. The project is a new design of jumpgatethat utilizes dark matter to form a kind of blackhole but in a sence of exploring.
They hope to create a system that can move things 1000x faster than the speed of current jumpgates and without having to have another at the other end. This meaning they can travel to systems outside of Sirius. But the recent events have forced them to cut on safety measures and quicken the pace of construction.
The other governments though, are not so sure about this new project and are even going in search of new systems within Sirius to broaden their power.
The new Monarchy in the Omicron systems has secretly been building a new way of travelling. They are still checking the route that this travelling system will take and have reached the outer limits of sirius. The Corsairs have moved Northward or Upwards into the old nomad systems. This has given them a chance to better their relations with the Blood Dragons, who have been ,bit by bit, buying bits of Shikuko in the hope of having a home system, the Kusari government made peace with the Blood Dragons after the Nomad incident.
With all the factions and governments spreading out and all looking for a way out of Sirius, the future could be bad...
10 years later: Large scale war! The Bretonian government is falling to pieces after trajic events. Project Dolphin was a failure at the same time as being a success. When the workers were contructing the device to make Dolphin, they made a mistake that cost them their lives along with half of Dublin. The device blew up and created what the constructers wanted, a blackhole. This though, wasnt like anything they had ever seen. The blackhole kept getting smaller and bigger and things started to happen, strange things. Out of the blackhole came a ship, a ship the size of a battleship. It wasnt nomad.The blackhole seemed to have no effect on the ship but after the explosion, most of the workers were dead and radiation was travelling accross Dublin towards the battleship Hood.
The ship just sat there for a minute and then started to move towards the Hood.
When the people on the Hood saw this, they thought it was a Bretonian Cruiser come to attack them, so they opened fire and launched all ships. At first the shots just bounced off the hull of the ship but then a shot hit a kind of dent and the ship stopped moving. This was unusual for a Bretonian Cruiser thought the poeple on the Hood, so they stopped shooting. They had all ready called for help and other people in the system had seen the explosion, so they came as soon as they could get there. The ship sat the for a few minutes and then someone got the radio and started to try talk to the inhabitants of the ship. As soon as he stopped talking, there were voices replying.
