With myself I like to fly the dagger, it just looks great. I know that's a bad reason to fly the ship but it still turns on a dime.

When you show your strengths you also show your weaknesses

i fly the Drake... well i used to, still have one, but dont use it very much, its still a sollid little ship, and i can take any VHF out in it,

As i always say, thier is no "Best Ship". I heard somone say to me "thier are only 3 good ships, in this order - Eagle, Sabre, Titan. NOT TRUE, i can take any of those out in my drake.

I agree with Swords, there is not best ship. It all depends on how you fly and what type of tactic's you use.
Some people will get the titan and hammer away hiding behind their armor.
Other people will fly the drake and run circles around the VHF's.
Finally you have the people that fly the freightors and trade but will still light some people up in turrent mode every now and again.
Like I said, it all depends on how you play, or even what type of a game you want to play.

he didn't say it was heltak he just said there was no true best ship.ok back on topic i myself like a good heavy fighter cause i can get rid of light fighters and very heavy fighters easily enough, i will sometimes use a lightfighter and it is usually a dagger because its good looking although i wish it had better weapons class.

if you want to think of yourself as a really good player, you must learn that just getting the biggest, baddest VHF and nailing as many class 10 guns on as possible is pointless, boring, and effictively a n00bs tactic
if you are good with a LF, then you can run rings around heavier fighters and blast them to scrap without sustaining heavy damage
believe me, ive taken out Sabre patrols in a drake several times before now

i used to fly a banshee in mp but the current trend for npc dhield regen made it unviable due to the length of time for a kill on the tough missions

Wow, you guys should come play on Jolt, we can kill stuff other than eagles

If I were ever to play MP again, it would be in a LF of some flavor or another. Probably a "bomber" Patriot with high powered mines.

For the last time...there is no "N" in "TURRET"!

I always prefered light fighters. I can't stand staying in freighters or vhfs for too long. I always felt that they were slowing me down somehow (I know all ships go the same speed). I usually stick with LFs unless I am trying out ships in a new mod in which case I toy around with quite a few ships.

Drakes were my LF of choice, but alot of the HF and VHFs have terrible turning circles, and that means i cant play my favourite game of asteroid grand prix

but the best ship is a matter of opinion, and what is good for one, may be terrible for another.
