After all these years??? Well, I think I started playing Freelancer about 1947 or so, right after the Roswell alien ship crashed.

I still play it because I like it! There are still a few things I haven't found in it, even though I originally played it on a wind up PC made from an oatmeal box, some string and a piece of boiled asparagus.

Dammit, three poeple have made the same "all these years" jokes Let it die already . . . :p

All for why i play, its Multiplayer all the way. No matter how hard you try, there is always somebody better than you. (Yes, yes i know its false, logic dictates that somebody has to be the best but its not important.)

I am playing Freelancer for few things:
1. I am searching for Ripper Mine Launcher and Paralyzer Rocket Launcher
2. I am playing on a Server so somebody can join to my server and I like to be companied by Human being more than to be companied by AI Fighters. I also know that if nobody will join my server, then I have 2 brothers, but I have some friends, and they will soon can play on internet too.
3. I am still trying to discover something new.

I'm looking for Freeports 3 and 8. I don't care what anyone else says - I'M NOT GIVING UP! I SHALL FIND MY LOST BRETHREN!

Kind of a spoiler, but ill put it anyway

Scout Seeker, only one of those two can be found in an unmodded game.

As for the Freeports, yah that bugged me too. I just modded the game and put 3, 7 and 8 right next to each other :p

Its nice to see why all people play freelancer. I play to mod and mod to play, its as easy as that. Usually when i buy a new game i play to beat it, then i come back to freelancer! cuz its such a cool game, and alot of the names in the game are actually historical names or items! Cardamine actually being a spice rather then a drug, though i should say this. In the movie in "Under Siege" starring Steven Seagal and Tommy Lee Jones, they refer to the battleship Missouri as a "Dreadnaught. There is also the fact that space, is something that some of us will never do! So we can always imagine that we are actually in space, and that our ship dont fry when leaving the atmosphere. I will soon get the 3d glasses, so that i can really imagine being there. It would remind me of what i see in my dreams.

Let us know how you like the 3 D glasses. Most comments I've heard were that it wasn't as good as they'd hoped.

p.s. I suppose you know that FL uses actually pics taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. Some of those beautiful backgrounds are real!

like the one in the cortez system. Its a little low rez but i swear ive seen it somewhere. prolly on space channel. oh and i pay freelancer just to find all the stuff that people talk about. Also the mods are realy good lately

I just gor it for 5 weeks so it's still cool......
