Multiplayer games

Despite being a freelancer junkie for over a year and a half i had never gone multiplayer before due to my lack of high speed internet. I went and played at a buddy's house today, but for all my knowledge couldn't figure out how to set up a LAN game. I couldn't make a server. Help!

If you want to start your own server; simply launch flserver.exe which is in the same folder as the main exe. Of course, if there is firewall in the way you'll have some difficulties, but that can be solved by opening the appropriate ports, you'll have to look them up, I can't remember which ones they are. Of course, if you just want your own private server or something with only you and the AI in it then you don't have to worry about the firewall.

You can connect to any multiplayer Freelancer server and play the game using dialup Internet access. Most of the time there will be no problems.
