Changing cities?

I've noticed that sometimes when I land on planets, the sky is quite light.
At other times it's as if it was night-time.
Does this change according to what time your computer clock says the time is?

I've never noticed that...but there is a line in one of the ini files (Universe.ini, I think) saying "seconds_per_day = 1800" (default value), and nobody ever had a use for it, maybe that's it.

That is interesting...Maybe the amount of traffic changes with the time as well: who would want to do a night-mission?

That's never happened to me. The sky is always the same brightness and colour no matter what for me. Different planets have varying degrees of brightness but that's about it.
