grouping weapons

I've heard people talk about "grouping weapons", something that lets you select a certain configuration of active weapons by hitting a certain key, but I can't figure out how to do it. Anyone here who has?

the key combination isn't set by deafult, its somewhere near the botom of the control set grid, just remap them to the controls you want to use, i usually use the numpad and use ctrl+ for setting them
