The answer is difficult due to possible spoilers, so check there for the Champion, and check General editing/ Mod anounce forums for the Uber ones, and yes, Uber is for super. General editing has tools to teach how to mod, and Mod Anounce list the mods that are avaiable.

well, the only way to get the uber is with a mod, and you also have to use a mod for the champion, but you have to loot it.

If you play on the 3NET server, many of the wrecks have the Adv. Champion class 10 graviton shield. You can sell for $93,000 credits and/or mount one in a VHF.

Why would you want to sell it? It's the best shield in the game. And "uber" can mean both, i depends like context, like "ubermench," (sorry for the spelling) which has been translated as "superman," but more correctly as "overlord." --- VH16

the advanced champion shield is just another thing left out of the singleplayer experience by the programmers. There's also coding for freighter shields over class 7 as well, but obviously they aren't usable without further mods to ships.

Uber shields are just that. made to stand against anything. It's probably a shield the programmers made for testing purposes, and didn't think of taking it out before public release of this game.

Other inconsistent things to note is that wrecks blow up or remove some of the loot they're supposed to carry, right at startup. This is why paralyzer launchers can't be found anywhere unless modded in. You'll probably find more items that "should" have made it into the SP game but havent, or even MP.

Many servers out there (mine included) allow the use of these items by fixing wrecks that destroy them when server starts or by allowing them to drop from killed enemies. If it's something you want to persue, try out one of these servers and see.

I love these two shields when playing reballance. The **** and **** drop them every now and then and you can sell them for 250,000 each.

Uber: mod, ussually anyway, its like a really cheated sheild that is boring...

The NPCs have to have better (ie Champion) shields, their flying can't be up to the standard of a good human player. Although the stats you see on NPC Champions aren't the ones you would have. It's a little complex

There is a mod for a UBER shield! I have seen it and i have had it before. I dont know where it is, i spent 30 minutes looking for it and couldnt find it. I searched every possible name every possible type! Or even authors who i know may have created it. BP says i cant post one so, i would have made one for you.
