Something that would have been nice...

I think it would have been cool if you could have taken the whole racing scenario to a larger scale. Like perhaps raced on a larger course or something for credits, not just cause you had too. It was one of my favorite parts of the game, not entirely mind blowing, but a good change of pace. Perhaps a mod will do this? BTW hopefully there hasn't been a topic on this already, if there has been i apologize!

there used to be a server that regularly held races but i havent seen it in the global servers list for some time now

Just would have been nice if you could go back and race for money, instead of just doing it the one time against Hovis.

Yep, in his parting shot Hovis tells Trent to come back again if things don't work out, or something to that effect. After the SP campaign I tried to take him up on his offer... but he'd disappeared

That would be very cool, if someone could implement a race sub-game in a mod, you can go back to the Hood and take on new challengers who appear randomly with their ships and stuff, and there are different types of races you can do, and different courses...I'll shut up now

It would change constantly - that's what would be great. All contestant stake something, and whoever wins carries it all off. Money, cargo, high level guns - anything. I want this mod now!
