Equipping weapons in game

Ok, when you tractor in weapons, they are placed in your hold... how do you fill the empty hard points with them? I have been unable to equip them... I always have to sell them to the merchant and then buy them back so they auto-equip... so I am getting raped financially....

I'm assuming you realize that you cannot equip in space. Once you're in a base go to the equipment shop. Look at your weaps. In the upper left hand corner of each weapons bar is a small icon that looks like this: [ -I
Click on it and it should equip. Good luck, hope this helps.

Also remember that you have to equip some of your own weapons first, before equiping on new ones.
