Anyone else have this problem in SP

This is my second time through the game, after I sent the Nomads packing I am unable to get past level 18 because it says the money needed to get to the next one is less than my current worth. Okay far enough, I'll just space stuff to get it way down and tractor it all back up and level up. Diddint work, anyone know how to fix this? I seem to recall having this problem the first time (long ago, not sure if i did) but don;t remember what I did.

After you finish the SP, the amount is how much you need to earn to get to the next level, not how much you have to be worth. This has been discussed in much detail before.
