Hey all freelancer gurus. I'm a newbie here and in freelancer and I have one question. If I have negative reputation in for example Junkers' eyes, can I land to their depots? Of course they will attack me and maybe ask me to drop my cargo if i'm trying to deliver something(?) but can I land in their depot if I destroy them or do i need at least neutral reputation? Thanks for all help!
Strangest thing I've seen was when I was carrying cargo to sell to the Red Hessians. I was neutral and just short of the positive side of the scale. As I was about to land and already had clearance, I heard that command: "All right, DROP IT!" I ignored it, since I was already docking. But just as I entered the base, everything turned red. I was now inside of a hostile base! I was allowed to sell my cargo. But as soon as I took off again, they were all waiting for me ...
Had quite a fight getting out of there and off to a safer system.

yes, all these are very true. here's the thing, even if you have six bars of green and the name of the faction appears white and not green, then they are netral. to answer to chips, some of the enemies that appear neutral but are supposed to be histile only happens when you are on a mission. it depends from which faction though, because if you are on LPI mission, the rogues appear hostile.

yeh, if say you are 100% Freindly with the bounty hunters, but you do a misison against them for the corsairs then bounty hunters will appear hostile, Your rep will be slightly damaged if you complete the mission, but you will still have a 90% ish rep with them.

Okay, it goes like this.
Red = Hostile. Will attack you on sight.
White between -6 bars and -2 bars = Will not attack on sight, can dock and trade, will not offer missions, might try to jack your cargo, refusal can make this base but not the faction hostile, base will go back to white when you re-start the game.
White between -2 bars and +2 bars = Will not attack on sight, can dock and trade, WILL offer missions, might try to jack your cargo, refusal can make this base but not the faction hostile, base will go back to white when you re-start the game.
White between +2 bars and +6 bars = Will not attack on sight, can dock and trade, will offer missions, will NOT try to jack your cargo, will not aid you in a fight unless the enemy is common.
Green = all of the above but will aid you in combat if the enemy is not their ally.
