well how many years seperated starlancer and freelancer... hmmm, 4-5 right? Freelancer has been out for 1 year... don't expect a sequal anytime soon, unless Microsoft buys off someone else's space sim game and renames it I think the future of space sim will most likely lie with the X universe if/once they start enabling online multiplayer in their products.


Really would like to see a priv 3 / privateer online made by origin though, and use the entire star map which came in the box of prophecy, now that would be a game, but I doubt it will happen.

As much as I would like to see a sequel to this game, I don't think it's going to happen. Not anytime soon, anyway. If those boneheads at Microsoft actually decided to look at the fanbase for this game, a sequel would be a no-brainer. But they won't. They don't want to waste the time or money. This is why I hate Microsoft. They only care about what will line their pockets with gold.
