Skins,Changing costumes on characters

Does anyone know how to switch costumes for juni or trent in the game to those of other game characters? I did some searches and couldn't find HOW to do it, only a trent mod.
Also if you change the character skin, will some of the big mods interpret this as cheating for changing an original/modded file, i.e. rebalance 3.4?
