rheinland cruisers are the most amazing pieces of military art i've ever seen. huge, ominous, powerful and deific. you see one and you just feel... small...and powerless. evne if they don't have shields. so what? it's 200 times the size of your fighter!
for battleships, i have to say that kusari holds my eyes the most... just the way they're designed and all.
gunboats? rheinland wins again. those things just look freaking cool. something about the angles just make 'em cool to look at.
liberty ships just look like...well...a gertain kind of toy used in making a certain gender vary happy. that and they're freaking tiny. makes me want to stick them in a pencil sharpener and sharpen them. besides, the foreward guns look wierd and rather akward. sorry, the whole ring array thing don't strike me fancy much. though the way the cruisers look like they have an axe head at the bow is kinda neat.
retonia ships imho are just... way to british. overly elegant and really oddly put together. i mean yeah, they're pretty good looking if you're into british architecture, but i'm not, so i find them a little too antiquated, for lack of a better word. that and the engine exhaust looks like some kind of body part. like the end of a colonm or something. that and the fighterws look like earwigs.
Nomad shhips look neat, but they remind me of bad sci-fi movies way too much to make the "cool" mark in my mind. the guns are pretty neat though./ well, the graphics are anyways. a 4.0 rate of fire isn't quite my thing. 8.33 and 5.33 is more like it to me.
