Single player mods

Not sure where to post this, so i'll just ask.

I completed the game and explored most of the systems in three days, and was somewhat dissapointed with the game so i'm looking to improve the game.

So what good single player mods would you suggest i download

Get your hands on Rebalance and Evolutions. They're my favourites. Welcome to TLR

Thanks. Are these mods compatible with each other?

Generally not, the big mods alter too much to be compatible. Check with FLMM though, it'll say what's incompatible with whatever you currently have activated

I would SEVERELY suggest that you find an active server and play FL online before using any mods!! And honestly, i cannot stress that enough! THe storyline kept me engaged for a day, but online kept me going all day every day for 4 months!! its THAT much better. Find a large and active server, get on there, get making money, join a clan or start your own/just be a pirate to players (or role play). FL offers 10x more in MP gameplay wise than SP!!!

I'd say anything above 50ms in a 16 player game and you're going to be in warp city, with the AI and players jumping all over the place, making it take around 4 times longer to shoot anything down compared to SP.

If you were disappointed because it just wasnt' challenging enough, your not alone. Don't give up on FL just yet. Some of these guys doing the mods have added things that were supposed to be there in the first place or added their own enhancements. For singleplayer, the RealSpace 2.2 mod was great. It makes some minor changes to the game that make it a much more challenging and rewarding experience. And The lighting changes and Better computer pilots were most welcome. For multiplay the Evolutions 1.27 mod has been Faaaaantaaastic! It is a true challenge in single player and Multiplay. It adds so many new ships / items / dimensions to the game I can't list them all. One of the aspects I appreciate is it's balance. It doesn't start you off with all the money you can spend, or Uber equipment so powerful theirs no challenge. It is hard to raise the money for what you need or want at least a good 80-90 percent through the climb. If your not into trading, keeping yourself going, supplied, and moving upward with a fighter is extremely difficult. It's just awesome. To top it off the online player community is great. I am eagerly awaiting Evolutions 1.28.

Honestly the game will be worth playing with the right mods.
