@Space , Search Forums you may want to use this feature to search the threads for all threads concerining FL2. A this time there is no FL2 nor any hint of starting one by Ms or DA. Privateer and Privateer 2 may be hard to find, since they came out years ago. There's a nice game you might find from about 5 years ago called HardWar -- kind of like FL but all on one of Jupiter's moons. You have missions, but you also spend time trading, salvaging, pirating or bounty hunting to build up your ship or buy a better one. There is also an alien mystery to solve. Then there are the games X-Beyond the Frontier and X-Tension -- both freelancing games, but much slower than FL.

The Wing Commander game series are fun, but they are linear -- you have to do the missions and only the missions. You can 't fly off and explore or do what you want to. Lots of fun though.
