I think a lot of the appeal is the "extras" on the disc. Although saying that, I love the Freelancer music. Not quite that much though...

Maybe this is too much for some budgets, however it's a way to support Freelancer, and I enjoy listening to the CD when I'm doing something else on the computer (other than playing FL).

The DVD is great, I love the "making of" featurette and the deleted scenes. The only drawback is my DVD player won't play it, it only works in my computer's DVD drive.

anyway... soundtracks are bad. i tried the diablo 2 soundtrack from my friend, and it didnt even have the song that i wanted! i had to go download that! that fl DVD would be pretty cool tho... it has the extended intro!

Trent: Sure, as long as I'm not shot at, knocked out, held at gunpoint, electrocuted, skewered alive by giant alien shapeshifters, have to dive out windows, or fight off spindly nomad incubi.

If you really want to listen to the music out side of the game, copy the music from your game CD onto a music CD and you can listen to it to your hearts content.
