Dromedary freighter equipment

How do I decide what weapons to mount on my Dromedary freighter?

I've looked at weapon lists, and there are *so* many class 6 guns and turrets that I'm not sure how to pick between them. Is there a guide somewhere on how to pick between Pulse/Tachyon/Plasma/Photon/Particle/Neutron weapons, high refire rate or low refire rate, etc.?

And where would I find the best shield to mount?

In the spoilers forum (which by the way is where this should go) there's a list of weapons and shields. Peronally I'd recommend Rheinland weaponry.

Not getting into too much spoiler, the best firepower-per-second weapon combination for the Drom does not involve Rheinland weapons. Also you can consider a gun/missile combo.

you really want any kind of stun pulse, im not gonna tell u where it is though. they r only class two or three but they work on shields as good as hell

There is something out there that's even (quite a lot actually) better than any house weaponry, and there is one specific combination that tops it all (yes I did the maths) in firepower not to mention having the same projectile speed. The hint is, you need to befriend more than one fraction and one of them is the hardest to befriend in the game.

Listem man, mount on 3 missiles in the front that have the right to be called missiles. And get some shield buster turrets(like wolf said, stun pulses work nice) and you're good to go. Get the opponent's shields down with one hit of those 5-6? turrets and then fire the missiles. Make sure you're head on or right behind.

The missiles are okay, but you'll need a couple of weapons with high refire rates, (around 8.33), e.g. lasers, if you want to pick a fight with the fast moving targets. Get a blend of fast, weak guns and slow, powerful cannons.

AVERAGE REFIRE RATE 3-4 WITH NOT ALOT OF DRAIN


the stats the you see underneath hull and shield are the total for the guns listed ... not per gun its grouped stats ...e.g 1 debillitator is hull=11 shield=401
so 2 = the stats listed as above


try that for a load out its pretty damn good

I suggest mounting at least one missile for a freighter loadout, and having at least one or two shieldbusters. Don't go all shieldbusters though, that's just stupid. Try to find a lot of turrets with similar refire rates, and feel free to indulge in some Outcast weaponry (*hint hint hint*)
