PLEASE TOP TEN BEST BIG MODS!

Please could we have a little competition and select the Best 10 MODS for FreeLancer with a little description of each. I know we have the Download section but the MODS are coming so thick and fast (FANTASTIC!) that its hard to search all of them. I am interested in Total Change Mods that have really made FL into a new game, new missions, big changes. It would also be Nice for the makers if LR ran a Best Mods of the Month! Page with 2 or 3 outstanding mods of the months!

Hope this is seen as a possible, been playing X2 The Threat and I think Freelancer looks better, runs better and the mouse flight system is simple and cool, the X@ flight controls suck. I had a Duron CPU, FL no probs! Now I have a Athlon 2600+ and X2 runs in stop frames! so Roll on Freelancer! (Big hope for that sequal!)

Old Rebalance was nice buit now its evil
Please note I do not think TNG and Rebalance are actually any good.At all.

Chips evolutions MOD, once you get it working, is great. It's the best MOD I've played. Excuse me a sec....<wanders off to play freelancer>

Frost-works Level2 mod is easy to install and challenging to play seems how it is RPG based. The mod added a new class of ships too. With the Nomad weaps being illegal to mount on your ship, there is a large variety of weapon load outs thus making the PvP more interesting.

Please elaborate, I'd like to know why you don't like them, as I have not tried either yet. Finally upgraded my computer and now can try all these nifty mods. But I need to know where to start.

Excelcia 1.2a. Only works on two servers on the global list. One has had near constant downtime past few days. www.klngarthur.com/forum

I tried Excel but found it abit frustrating because much more advanced MODs seemed to be available on LR and the MOD for that server did not change that much, done well but I was looking for more. I'd like to use a Chip MOD but I'm not computer literate, I can type but thats about it so I have no idea how to install it and give up pretty fast. The LR Mod Manager is great cos I just open the Download and everything is done for me!

Are there any mods that start you out with a decent ship and includes entire new areas to explore without so much trade lane interrupting?

I know of a couple that have added systems, but I'm talking like a major makeover, where the systems were 3x the size they are normally ... and basically something that would turn it into a little more of an adventure game as opposed to a fighting game with pansy-@$$ enemies in one house and difficult ones in another...

Obviously, that might take a while to do.

Oh yeah, and has anyone made a mod that changes all that "First visit?" "Check." "Well, we don't really run this place, but we have an understanding with the people who do. Well, I might have some information for you, Mr...?" "I'm Trent." "Well, just between us, I ... HAVE heard a rumor." "Go on. I'm listening" "Okay then. This is what I heard"... AAAGGGGHHHH!!!!! You know, they could have had half the chatter and twice the variations on what could be said. Good thing there's an escape button when it just gets too monotonous. You know? That's really the only serious fault of the game IMO.

There's a mod called bootstrap which removes all the story-line missions and adds a complete nav map. Translightengine mod increase your cruise speed to about 9999999999. It's scary. Very useful for getting places though. Just don't use it in asteroid fields. Anyone that's ever crashed into an asteroid at a million lightyears per second will know why. Freelancer Massive Addon is also very good. It adds TONS of ships and quite a few systems etc too.

Doesn't anyone actually READ anymore? Here's the list of all the mods submitted to TLR w/descriptions. Read to your hearts content

So I take it from the READ bit you have not READ my first question which says I KNOW this but there are so many it is IMPOSSIBLE to check them all with the game. You don't have to use sarcasm to get my attention a simple 'we have a link you might want to look at' would have sufficed.
