what's the story on those screen shots posted here on TLR that show that, Elite like, 3D local navigation grid in cockpit view? was that the way it was in beta release? sure wish it woulda made it to the final version.

A lot of people do. I'm quite happy with the current game engine as it is though.

You will also find pics of early ideas for the game ... different clothing, slightly different faces etc. Things that got left out -- like the radar screen.

I'd rather have my J*******, personally. I like the contact list as it is, but it can get a bit annoying to click through for the objectives in SP when there's 20 other items on the list. Radar would be nice, but the current system is functional, and I do like the nice big map which was lacking in SL.
