They have cool transporter buffer weapon storage so that it just appears from the buffer (for all u non-treekies out there, a transporter buffer is like a transporter - please tell me uve heard of that!!- it just holds the item or person in stasis instead or re-materialising it -puttin it somewhere else!- until needed)

Lol! That is hilarious. But as for the gun, I think he just got one from Quintain. I'd say Quintain because his bodyguards had guns, and they might have let Trent borrow one.

Ummm ... maybe Trent never felt he had to carry a pistol before that mission? FLying around for the good guys is one thing. But when there's a nice big bounty on your head, it might be a good idea to go prepared. And anybody who flies a ship with lasers and missiles probably has a little popgun or two somewhere in his cockpit.
