I have read {I think in the old game HQ} that they build the game so players influnce it.

and gave example like the player is pirating preventing from goods getting to certain place, eventualy the prices of these goods will rise in that place, in the other hand if the player keeps getting the same goods the price will get lower.

of course I thought that was an only early thoughts of game model ..

I am glad I am wrong, but I have made many runs of Diamonds from Berilen to Tokyo but the price never changes!
it might be due to the low number of cargo i got {250}, I should try this in moded servers using CSV {80k cargo space}.

I see Ben is talking about SP but is this possible in MP?

I've been with corsairs for 7 months now and I've noticed similar changes. I mainly operate in Omicron Gamma near Crete and I'm seeing more bounty hunters as I play more, bigger groups, smarter pilots ect.

the wierdest one though is a week ago I stumbled across a group of Nomads in the asteroids around Tripoli Shipyard. Needless to say it freaked me out as I never see Nomads outside of the edge nebulas in the top of the sector so I investigated and found an unidentified jumpgate and went through. on the other side there were two planets and you can dock on them.
there were also swarms of nomads, huge swarms I must have killed at least 60 of em before I got out.
Strange...seems that DA left a little more than what we think they left for us to find.

Silent Wanderer, sounds like a spoiler mate. Thanks for finally telling me how to get to that system, but it's still in the wrong place. --- RR16

I think there's more to this ring bea- I mean, game than meets the eye.

Methinks I join up with the Blood Dragons or Outcasts, since they're the best flyers. Corsairs are too, but I respect the Dragons. The Outcasts deal in the Cardamine business though.

Although, I've always wanted to fly a Bloodhound or Wolfhound...

Michael King is the name of somebody in my school... seriously.

The people in FL have very limited vocabularies, most of them speak the same also, with the same voices... yes I know one guy is British and the other is Japanese but who's keeping track, eh?

Wow, having successfully ripped this game apart on other aspects, but still love to play it, I never paid attention to this feature before.. and thinking back to my earlier days with FL.. it IS true. I remember having escorts on me from a faction I was flying with. That makes this game THat much better!

Coolness. back to play.

Im skipping classes

Hmmm... I don't think I have the pacients to work with fractions.
Time with:
Corsairs - 4 hours
Outcasts - 40 minutes (just wanted the ship and the guns)
Xenos - 5 hours

Trader - 10 hours

On my own (killing anyone) - 50 hours

Im pritty independent.

I wonder if it works in Multiplayer. Enough people fighting for one faction might cause enough of a fluctuation to make things interesting. I've always wondered what it would be like to have forty or so players bring down every ship in one of the capital systems, particually Manhattan since the opponents are easy and it would be a slaughter. --- RR16

Sorry bout the spoiler but it was really wierd to find a load of nomads right inside corsair space

Hmm, seems like tearing this apart nad figuring out how its being done could add a lot of replay time to mods.

Perhaps someone should set up a multi-player server where players are issued a nicely equiped ship from the start and forty or so go head to head with the entire universe at once. I'd love to see what would happen. And I know I'm not alone. --- RR16

RR16; I have sort of done that in SP. Using IONCROSS and the older version of "Al's Pals Everyone loves you" mod. Don't do the 2 missions for the navy and you're rep goes up slowly as you kill them. Used IONCROSS to set all factions to
-90. It was fun.

Try starting out in X-Beyond the Frontier. A freak accident sends your experimental ship into a totally unknown and unexplored galaxy. And in the process your ship loses its guns! You have to trade just to get them first.
