Help with Reputation??!!

I am currently in New London. 7-8 hours into the game. I did some cop missions early on to make some early money, but now i have all the outcasts, corsairs, junkers, molly's etc. mad as hell. I bought a Cavalier with help from Tobias, which I hoped would help, but it only seemed to lower hatred of the hackers and another criminal group (can't remember which one though)

the problem is, I want to be a pirate. i can't get near any criminal bases. i don't have enough money to bribe. I need to make money, but all the jobs are either bounty hunters or police or corporation jobs.

i was thinking of attacking some corporation frieghters, but I tried that in New London space, and i had a zillion police on my ass.

should i leave new london space and attack corporations? will that even help my reputation? I know i could make money trading, but i really want to be able to affect my reputation first.

are there any other suggestions? my goal is to be neutral with at least some cops and some criminal orgs, and see how that goes. after that, i plan on becoming a full fledged pirate.

any help is greatly appreciated. (i cannot do an archive search, and i have tried to find answers in other threads, but to no avail)

OK, i tried "hunting police" and it nearly got me killed, while i gained only a little improvement with the outcasts, etc.

I tried hunting transports, same thing.

AND, (this is what's most confusing) I am neutral / leaning towards friendly with rogues AND hackers, but i could NOT land on mactan base , in magellan, which is a hacker base. i got hammered by outcasts and corsairs.

This is really really frustrating. i also tried going hunting in Xeno habitat in the asteroid field in northern liberty/ new york space to try to improve my rep with the criminals, and i couldnt make it, since BOTH cops and criminals were on my tail.

(i have a bretonia cavelier, and i am level 8 or 9)

honestly, some help? should i just finish single player without trying any side quests?? god damn i can not figure out how to improve this reputation and live.

go to manhattan , fly to the right side towards the depots hanging there , blow up 3 police containers , that should get you neutral with outcast and rogues
(and net you some nice cash selling the polymers to baltimore)

if you really want to get friendly with outcasts and rouges, kill bounty hunters and lots of them

thanks everyone, the police depot was a great trick, and actually the most fun i've had on a mission so far in the game. killing bounty hunters afterwards really helped with the outcasts.

now i am working happily for the lane hackers. really, you guys have helped make this game MUCH more enjoyable.

one last question: will liberty's navy always be pissed? i ask, since i'd like tomake some cardamine runs into NY/liberty space, but they won't let me dock at Manhattan, etc.. since the army turned on me, i can't do any missions for them, and i have no idea what to do.

i'd welcome any thoughts on this liberty navy/police issue...

check who the enemies are of the navy and blow away enough to get he navy neutral , also instead of running cardamine to manhattan you can run it to rochester , the difference is only something like 50 credits a unit

Personally, I just like the challenge of slaughtering police. But you have to do it near a trade lane or jump hole or something in freak evacuations.

Keep with the police until you get a very heavy fighter with level 10 sheilds and at least level 9 weapons on all ports. Then, you can fly your true colors and be a pirate. It's a lot more fun once you got the guns to support yourself. Also, killing GMG pleases Outcasts, and keeps Rheinland happy if you like to be buddies with the major houses. --- RR16
