Did you check your max. speed? When in cruise mode it doesn't get to 300. With thruster your ship doesn't get to 200 (the 'normal' maximum)

I was at cruise speed (300), going from the Tau 37 Warphole directly (avoiding the sun of course) to the Tau 31 gate. The sun was DIRECTLY to my Left when I got the message. There were no ships around save one Outcast sabre which was about 2km back. I was NOT near the sun corona at the time.

I have had something like this before, mainly when I enter the sun's corona and try to fly out again. Only thing I noticed was my cruise engines had a heck of a time starting up...

Ihad the same problem, and I heard the "Increased Drag Detected" but it was when I got too close to the Tau-37 sun because I was looking at what the "Object Unknown" in the sun was lol! Your cruise engines take a while to start up, but just afterburn out of the corona or you'll be toast, quite literally!
