Something similar to Flamecurse. I got jumped by Outcasts and Rogues by the NY/Texas jump gate. I was in a Hammerhead. In my defense, I mistakenly shot an escorted Samura transport. Next thing I knew, the Outcasts, Rogues, Liberty Police and Navy, Samura and a Kishiro transport were all shooting at me. I just flew all over the place avoiding fire until the gate was free. I did manage to kill of most of the Rogues and Outcasts as I did. What a mess.

When I used a mod to buy a huge battleship, I attacked a base orbiting Manhatten. The fight lasted for 11 minutes! I got loads of fighters, and using the battleship encounter mod, got 2 dreadnoughts. That was cool. Shame your armour doesn't last forever...

Well, me and my friend's private war against Rhienland was good (we were flying Defenders ) but the good old 'Protect Toledo' in SP is fun, especially when u mod the game and fly a Sabre/Titan

Did it again, but at least now I know for sure. Last night I undocked from Thames Outpost straight into a firefight. A Catapult intended for an enemy Bloodhound instead took out a friendly Clydesdale that drifted in front of the target at the last instant. At that moment the outpost, the trade lanes and just about everything else went hostile.

I guess what I don't quite follow yet is how one single accidental kill like that can throw your reputation so far out of whack, when any other time it takes a lot of work to build up your rep with any given faction. Still working on that one.

Try being hostile with the Bounty Hunters Guild then flying towards the Tau-31 Jump Hole in the Edinburgh system, I once had about 12 Barracudas 20-odd Piranhas on my tail, barely made it through, and I was flying a Titan!

Some of the best battles I've taken part in are ususally battles that had nothing to do with me in the first place. Every now and then I'd run across a group of neutral pirates attack the neutral police force with a few corporations present. Being the good guy I helped out the officials, of course, and then all pirate ships turn thier sights on me. The only stupid things I've done in these scenarios is joining the fight in a starflier, and joining in the fight after accepting a kill all ships mission and losing almost all your nanobots and batteries in the process.
Those would have to be the best battles I've been in.

Attack, Engage, Destroy, Survive

My personal favourite battle is the SP mission in Rheinalnd agains the umpteen capital ships and Nomad Battleships that aren't yet unoperational. I barely survoived in a Barracuda.

Best freelancing battle happened halfwayt between Pueblo and Ouray. I was friendly with the Bounty Hunters and was flying around with four of them and ran into 8 Xenos and 2 Navy Defenders fighting each other. Then all hell broke lose, I accidentally shot a BH (oops) and suddenly everyone wss my enemy until 4 Rogues entered the battle. The long and short of it was I managed to scrape out of the battle, and was glad to be alive. Some battle though.



As a freelancer one encounters some strange stuff - in the the end, however, you always remain the strangest thing you are ware of.

Erm - whilst i was making a mod and testing it. I accidently turned up the amount of ships in the zone to a large amount. Whilst testing, i was flying through nomad soup - with battleship, gunship and fighter coming at me. It was reminiscent of the storyline. How many? Approx 28 v me. I died, but it was fun ...

Umm...mission against the Bounty Hunters. I was in either a Sabre or an Eagle (Can't remember). Musta fought about 42 hammerheads but only about 18 at a time. Didn't use any nanobots and probably no more than 6 shield batteries.

Yes, I did win.

Oh battles, Yeah I'd love to brag about them

I fought against a player online once outside FP9. I was in a Falcon and with a few class 6 guns I was everything but maxed out. I was kinda bad with BH, wich roam freely outside FP9 where I was to get better weapons. Unfortunately, the Zoners didn't like me nearly enough to sell me guns, so I left to get my guns somewhere else.
I immediately got jumped by at least 4 Bounty Hunters, but my Falcon was agile enough to fight back and I decided to kill them for guns, loot and fun.
A few more BH joined in and very soon I found myself outnumbered 8 to 1.
But I stayed close to FP9 to get some cover.

All of a sudden I saw a playerarrow on my screen and got a little nervous when I noticed he's shooting at me.
I get anoyed and target the dude. I notice how he flies a Titan and get even more nervous, but decide to make this my very first PvP.
My guess is that he was either not maxed out or just a very bad fighter because anyone in a Titan with a little skill does the famous enginekill routine and let me work on his superior shield and hull. He would have taken me out in a few shots, but he didn't.

Instead I managed to take down his shield a couple of times and damage him pretty good. I shot of his left wing in the process!
I guess I had him down to his last bats/bots, because when I shot off his wing he fled to dock with FP9.

I had to dock too, because the BH were coming in with increasingly larger numbers and I also ran out of bats/bots.

It was one hell of a fight but a lot of fun.

Best SP battle was the fights against the Nomads.

Well , this was in multi-player.

i was innocently driving my eagle around texas , then all of a suden 5 other users 3 of whom were in navy defenders the other 2 patriots , told me too drop my cargo or die ....big mistake for them.
My nomad blasters made short work of the patriots and the nomad cannons destroyed 2 defenders , the other one attempted to get away , but i stopped him with a cruise disrupter. then it was i who told him to give me all off his money which he did.....i still killed him of course. Probally not the best battle , but it was funny at the time.

my worst battle was when i ran cardamine from malta to buffalo in my sabre. just then i saw 40-50 bounty hunters on my back, the sigma-something jumphole was still far away so i fought.they all had hammerheads and class 8's.i escaped with 0 NB and SB and 1/2 hull. oh ya, i had support from corsair's (don't know why they were neutralact) actually 1/3 hull. (and i had 69 sheid batts. and nano bts.) and when docking on the orsirus in sp when coming out of Alaska.

i like the outcasts, but dispise thos **** corsairs!!!!!!

My best battle.... Let's See....Ah-ha now I remember... I was clan fighting with a1freelancer mods I was in a b-wing and i won the second time but the first was a disaster I had only SCRAMBLERS level 6 . They sucked
