Errr....Outcasts....(why?)

Why everyone likes outcasts so much?
(their name or what).... They have silly costumes and those weird li'l thingys under their noses.

They have nice ships

They have cool looking ships. Well, at least the Dagger is. The other two go in a line of progression that I find disappointing but OK.

AND They're not as arrogant as Corsairs (but nasty just the same).... whose ships border on the ugly when you think about it. The Legionnair is an ugly Hawk. The Centurion an ugly Falcon and the Titan..... looks like a super heavyweight class weight lifter trying to dead lift a metric ton and bending the bar in the process.

Their guns generally deal the most damage per class, at reasonable efficiency.
(Corsair guns are more efficient tho, but less damage.)

Everyone doesn't I hate outcast and corsairs I don't see how anyone can like those scum

Why? Because they are the sole providers of the mighty sabre! And they smuggle cardamine, a rebelious act seen as cool by our rebelious subconcious.

Post Fri Oct 24, 2003 8:34 pm

Um, not exactly. You can also get a Sabre at the Red Hessian Vogtland Base.
Actually, I only like Lane Hackers (brains), Blood Dragons (cause), and GC (chickys! )

I noticed this in SP about the Corsairs: you get more info from them
_before_ you get full green with them. Once you get full green they
just drop hints you should leave. They don't *really* accept you.

Outcasts reminded me of the Mafia. Had to get in tight with them before
I got any info. They consider themselves evolved by the drug, BTW.
So pushing Cardamine is sort of a 'public service' to us primitives.
(but I wouldn't touch the stuff myself, I will smuggle it tho)

The outcasts are well conected and supply cardamine dirt cheap. If I remember correctly, Blood Dragons, GC, lane hackers, and lIberty rougues are all friendly to them. Junkers and zoners don't particually care about them. Hessians like them because they kill cossairs. Rheinland doesn't mind them becasue they kill GMG. So, being a friend to the Outcasts makes you a friend of many a sirius citezen. That and they have cool ships and the Hispania wreck, not to mention the unknown jumphole (but I've said too much). --- RR16

Don't think the dragons are friendly with the outcasts, neutral at the most. They really don't like the cardamine they sell.

I like 'em because their system happens to be a convenient connection between the Tau systems and Omicron Theta, which is a route I use a lot to get around my GMG enemies in Kusari and the Sigmas. Same goes for the Corsairs, since their system connects to the diamond-rich Omegas and Rheinland.
