The good, the bad, and the ugly

My favorite ships are a toss up between Liberty, Rhineland, and civilian. The Brentonian ships scare me.......

Let's keep this thread on topic about ship appearences, or it'll get locked quick.
(see sticky on bets ship threads)

We just had a best looking freighter thread which was kinda fun, so I'll copy what I said there:

Paint job on Clydsdale isn't the best I'll admit, but lines are sleek.
However, I hate the fish/bug looks of Cavalier & Crusader

appearance wise id love to know what the designers were thinking of that came up with the wolf/blood hounds on looks alone i want to kill everyone of those i come across

I will say that Bretonian ships look a tad odd, but still kinda cool.

Liberty and Rienland look the most "warlike".

Borderworld ships are class and Coursair ships have a certain meanness about them.

I quite like the bretonian ships, they're...well...they're....different!

Corsair ships look too droopy to look mean...if the wings were straight, they might look a bit more threatening.

I like the Liberty ships' bird theme, but also think the Borderworlds, Civilian, and Bounty Hunter ships look cool. Rheinland ships have a sort of cool industrial look to them.

And the Pirate ships are kinda cool, in their own funky cobbled-together hunk-o-junk sort of way- but that's how a pirate ship is supposed to look.

Kusari ships...no, dragon wings just don't work on starships. Especially not the drone, which looks more like a big 'ol horsefly than anything else.

The Bretonia ships...I only like the Clydesdale. Other than that, like the Kusari, their ships seem a bit...overdone.

Nomad ships look like they're alive, and that's just too cool. Everyone needs a good "living" ship design.

I will aid them when I can...if they give me a percentage of the salvage from whatever they frag along the way. But god help them if someone puts a bounty on THEIR heads, for I don't care who I hunt for, as long as their live capture(or untimely death) can get me enough credits to buy a decent sized mug of my favorite drink."- A Freelance Bounty Hunter.

Wolfhound looks like a Cutlass sword. Bloodhound looks like a flea!

The wings on Kusari ships I assume to be solar panels, but I cut the
silly things off my Drake ASAP and then it looks wicked.

Liberty ships don't make much sense in space, unless they also are atmospheric.
Bounty hunter ships look Eeeevil, and more suited to space by comparison.

Border world fighters (Dagger/Stilleto/Sabre) have the coolest looks, IMHO.

The Bretonian ships look odd, but other than the Nomads (which I've /never/ seen before) they look the most "Natural". Which kinda' doesn't fit the space motif, but to each their own I suppose.

I like the look of the Rhineland ships best. The whole grungy industrial thing is cool.

The corsairs ships (atleast the Centurion and Titan) also look pretty cool. Kind of reminds me of a roman motif for some odd reason. . .

Am I the only one who likes the design for the pirate ships? They actually look the part of ships built by pirates.

The borderworld fighters look nice too, but they're just the dagger with other stuff latched on.

The Rheinland ships look nice too, but you think that the greatest military minds could at least build a ship that doesn't look like it's spewing out toxic waste through the engines.

Id say that liberty, pirates, and the civilian ships look the most realistic. I hate HATE in the Sp game when i have to trade my liberty HF for a brentonian. I'LL TELL YOU NOW! IF I SEE YOU FLYIN A BRENTONIAN SHIP IN MP IM GONNA INSULT AND KILL YOU!!!!

ANd you will then be banned from a server for insulting people needlessly.

Pirate ships are nice but I like the Dragon or Rhino the best.
