Jettison Cargo

Does anyone know how to jettison cargo?

Post Wed Oct 22, 2003 1:09 am

go to one of the buttons on the right hand corner and select cargo and select the cargo u want to jettison and then click on that little button
i recommend selling it to make a small profit

(sorry i havent played in quite some time)

there are three ways we can describe the Starlancer forums if TLR was a town.....
they are either the ghettos, the old folk homes, or the graveyard

I suggest doing this away from battle. In the original ships, it will lower your shields for a few seconds.

And one of the safest places to do jetison cargo is when u r in a trade lane!

Lower your shields? It turns them off for as long as needed to dump the old cargo and suck in whatever you want instead. And about 50% of the time, the baddies choose that precise moment to attack! Then it's panic time as you try not to get blown up when you sit their with no shields!

it lowers them for about 4 secs (yes im sad ive timed it)
tractoring new cargo doesnt affect the time they are down !

When I was young and ignorant and thought the computer a better pilot than me, I once jetisoned my cargo to a pirate. I simply re-tracored it and fled through a trade lane. --- RR16

It gives you more time if you just run. If you jettison it and re take it they attack you straight away. If you just run they don't notice for a few seconds. Enough time to jump into a trade lane if close enough. Of course, you only need to do this early on when you have a ........ an APPALING ship

I hear that they say funny things if you re-tractor it

Yeah like:

"Oh no! Not the cargo!"
"Oh my sweet, sweet cargo!"
"What did you do to my cargo!?"

The 2nd I'm not sure of.
