gargo space

Have anyone ever wondered why gargo space almost all the time keep increasing when you buy more expencive ship? For example: Defender HEAVY FIGHTER has cargo space of about 30 and hawk IGHT FIGHTER has 30 as well! Even if it is twice smaller by size!!!
Have anyone ideas?
(i know it woudl spoil the game if all light fighters would have cargo space of 20,
H.F. 30 and so on.... but its stil not making sense...)

nah its simple really...Light fighters have a standard of 30 which is fair enough, but VHF only have the same amount because their engine are bigger and weapon mounts take up more space.

Its like a smart car and a audi tt...the audi tt is much bigger but only has the same amount of room inside it as a mini...but I know which I'd prefer!

Maybe because one lf is just slightly bigger then the other...

btw Grom, the Patriot has only a load of 25 and the starflier only 20

@nickless fairy muff, I didn't check to be honest, I was just using his info as an example...

Ahh, you're forgiven Grom.

remember that weapons and ammo collected by the tractorbeam take also space in your cargo. Still i can still use my tractorbeam when my cargo is full and onlythings i can haul are dropped weapons and ammo? Does anybody know why he tolerates this and not normal cargo?

Strangely, weapons don't use up cargo space...you can loot as many weapons as you like and your hold will never fill.

For ammo there is a limmited number.

50 for the ammo and variable for the bats/bots.

Be careful Nickless, if you get to a certain number of guns, 290 something I think, your player will crash and you will lose it all

That rule does'nt apply to the Dromedary/Humpback, the Dromedary is cheaper but has 250 CS instead of the 200 for the Humpback..

btw: Like your sig, LV38 Eagle...The Titans (staying fl here) hung in space, very much the same way that bricks don't..

LV38 Eagle: that's because the carefully coded engine calculates the weight of the guns and that of the ship and compares it to the known laws of physics. when the calculations start to contradict with reality, the game crashes...
Kinda like trying to make pigs fly, they crash...

Yes, indeed, I stand corrected. The Dromedary has 275, and the Humpback 250..

@666Heretic: Typo?
