My first Question.

Well I've started playing this game few days ago and I found mself stunned with how big and deep this game is. Well now after two days of "getting the touch of it" and trying out the game I staarted to play for real. Well anyway to my question, since I am just on the begining I don't ask for some bigtime spoilers or anything but I am interested in something. How do you access Jump Holes? It happened that I found one just in the begining, in NY system in Badlands but it won't give me access. So basiclly my question is: Is this the only Jump Hole that doesn't give you access or do you have to side with Crimianls like Outcasts and Liberty Rogues or does have something to do with the plot? Btw. I also want to side with Junkers or Outcasts(they have the coolest base for now - Buffalo base, Badlands) but I find it extremly difficult since the single player campign forces you to become their enemy. So how? Thanks in advance. ;-)

It may not open because you havn't finished the first few missions. Or it may be an inner system jumphole.

Jumpholes open with plot . To get neutral with Rogues kill Xenos outside Detroit, or kill cops/navy! Buffalo base is Rogue, Junkers have their own base elsewhere. Between missions you can do what you want, even if Juni is calling just ignore her.

Ideas to think about for the Newbie:

Have you played the level where ( spoiler filter spoiler filter spoiler filter spoiler filter spoiler filter spoiler filter spoiler filter spoiler filter spoiler filter spoiler filter spoiler filter PUT THIS IN THE SPOILER FOURM AND I CAN HELP YOU spoiler filter spoiler filter spoiler filter IT'S BLOCKING MY WORDS spoiler filter spoiler filter spoiler filter spoiler filter )

Dang Spoiler Filter.

Well, without spoilers, until you complete the ( spoiler filter ) mission, you don't have the acess codes to any jumpways. Remember when Jumi told you In the beginninging that the ship she gives you doesn't have jump acess yet?

Now you say Ahhhhh, thats it!

Powering up Spoiler Filter Blocker:
You earn the Jump Access in a mission.

P.S. Don't go near the Debris behind the Battleship Missouri and don't go behind Manhattan or into the Badlands unprepared. You will get a BIG surprise.

The Badlands scared the hell out of me the first time I went to take a peak. The music rock out there and togehter with the astroids and the flashing cloudy stuff, it is a real hell hole. And with the treat of getting jumped by some baddies, it just raises the tension. I think it is the best place in Sirius, except perhaps for certain spoilerish systems.

Well I feel so stupid now by asking that question, it was just as you told me here and just as I at first thought, the jumpholes are now functioning as Juni gave me the access for the other systems like Colorado and California. :-))

By the way I tried killing Xenos but either there are too many of them or some a****le Navy/Police/Bounty Hunter **** comes in and takes my prize :-P
I'll keep trying though.

P.S. I have already been in Badlands and I just went into the debris field in Colorado system too. I must say it was a bit surprising that I found some "friendly" bases there :-))

P.P.S. Badlands rule!!! :-))

Think Badlands scary?

1) There is a big Black Cloud in the debris around Pittsburg. It's pretty visible. Fly there and it's a freak zone.
2) Go to Zone 21 behind The Missouri. If you can break through to the gate, I praise you.

Providing you don't know the easy way of finding your way through zone 21. But since you have access to colorado head there and kill Xenos. You can find lots of them in that system.

I've found that by and large, if you have a choice between going through a jump hole to a system, or taking a jump gate to the same system, use the gate whenever you can. You're far less likely to be ambushed.

Agree with Larry (my god twice in two days), don't use jump holes at the start (unless it's part of the story line), the time you think you'll save will be eaten up in battle and you'll waste a pile of cash on bot and bats.

If you throw enough mud ..some's gonna stick.

ussualy jumpholes are ambush point by the baddies. if your not friendly with their factions your done for that is if you still have the starflier.

can get away from them... no good... AAAAARRRGGGGGGH.

It still seems a bit ridiculous that you cannot use jump holes in the beginning missions, dangerous or not. Jump holes are supposed to be natural anomalies. Thus there is no jump code. Still, when you try to use them, you hear "Access denied". Is there some sort of supernatural being that watches over jump holes and keeps you out??? Totally bizarre ...

A good idea could of been to allow you to go through the jumpholes but makes sure the enemies on the other side were tougher than usual so you would die. At least that would make some sense.
