Who''s talking to you?

You know when you try to join a server w/ account creation turned off, and it says something like "I'm sorry, but the username and password you provided....try again."

Who's talking to you. They say "I'm sorry" But who is that??! is it your on-board computer? is it the server? is it the global server? is it the game? is it microsoft? I need to know! (well, not really)

I'm just going to assume for now that it is your computer that tells you when mines and radiation and volatile gases and sensor efficiency reduced are detected.

ive always assumed it is the server you are trying to connect to

You should contact the owners of the server to get an account first. They disabled the option to create your own account, so you have to ask them I guess.
Never tried though.

Yea, but I'm talking about the message that you get when you can't get onto a server.

It starts out with "I'm sorry" then continues with something like what i've said before or "but a connection could not be made with that server...intermittant problem....try again later."

that's probably a message generated by your own computer when it receives an error.
Like, when it fails to establish a connection quickly, it gives the message "Please wait, the requested operation takes longer than expected. Press ESC to cancel"

something like that, so it's your own "puter that's talking to you
