PC components are probably from China or Singapore. Try swearing in Chinese ...

LOL! if that does not work, try burnt offerings to random gods.

Mine used to lockup, then I measured my in case temps and they were over 40 degrees, Added a few more fans and that issue is now sorted, It was actually my hard drive that caused the failure due to the in case temps.

Anyhow, back to the topic.

If the game was real, someone would do a huge trade in ships as they get toasted every 5 mins. And where do the Hessians get all their new pilots from? I must have killed 2000 of em LOL.

How about -- like Trent -- you leave a bar for ten minutes to do something, then come back in and the bartender says ..."I've seen you before, haven't I?" Naturally, you reply ... "You're good!"

How about criminal groups being able to build fully functional space stations in secret when our current governments on Earth can't even build one that works half right in public. --- RR16

Well, some things are exactly the same between Freelancer & Reality.

The eco-terrorist Gaians, we just call them Earth Liberation Front now. And currently they just torch Hummer dealerships. It's reasonable to assume that when they spread into space, the Earth part of ELF may limit their the scope of their goals for the destruction of unnecessary polluting vehicles. They would need to change to a more universal name.

I bet you can go to a holiday resort in the FL universe and get a seat by the pool without all of the Rheinlanders getting there first with their towels...

How about sound in space? Yeah, an oldie but a goodie --- RR16

- NASA's got it all wrong... most of open space is not, in fact, open, but filled with stationary arrays of rocks, metal, or chunks of ice, all arranged in a linear fashion. Planets are stationary and are frequently less than 100 Km from eachother. You can often go out into space and find a nearby cloud of... well, somethig or other, and you'll find that there's lightning strikes going on inside the cloud.

Like in reality, when in a combat situation, the supply of enemy units is not finite, but they are continually generated as long as you are in the theatre of combat. Enemy factions may lose any number of ships, and yet will lose no territory in losing men. It is, indeed, possible to continually attack a single enemy faction and kill thousands of them, and yet have no impact whatsoever on their power, number of personell, or ability to field more units, as well as their ability to manufacture more ships, which is always infinite and totally effortless.

Ever wonder why, when you find a wreck, and there's usually enemies about to attack you when you do get there.... why, oh WHY didn't any of these othe people swarming over the site ever bother to salvage the cargo and weapons outta these wrecks themselves?? A $34,000 weapon isn't good enough for them?? It's not as if you're the first person to get there, as there's always ships (usually pirates) swarming about all over the place.

How about shooting a wreck and instead of the ship blowing up, it releases the $34,000 doller weapon? Or your ship's computer being able to tell what a pilot of a hostile ship's name is? --- RR16

That when you shoot an asteroid you get Gold and not gold ore or you get diamonds pre-cut aparrently.

The most useless & misnamed weapons in FreeLancer: StarKiller & SunSlayer Torpedos. You have been warned! ;P

100 diamonds apparently take up the exact same amount of volume as do 100 engine components, or 100 light arms, etc.

There's only two types of people who play Freelancer:
-Those who think the Sabre is the best ship;
-Those who are wrong.

Ever wonder why all ships have the same speed ? NO MATTER THE SIZE OF THEIR SHIP! Thats like saying a model T can go as fast as one of those jet cars. oh And i agree about the mass situation.
