Or, never having to eat, sleep, go to the loo, or get horny with a woman, and all you do is flying around space, hoping your food fetches a good price in freeport 2...
This guy trent must be real boring if you talked to him for more than 5 minutes...

Be archenemies with a faction, then after bribing someone to tamper with computer records, nobody in that faction can any longer seem to remember that they think you're an a$$hole.... just like real life! If you're unpopular at school, bribe the At School faction, and all the ****s there will start to like you because your computer record has changed.
Imagine, if you will, in real life ramming people from different companies and groups off the road in your car, then stealing any bits that fall of their vehicle before high-tailing it to the next town.
In that next town are many of the selfsame people you just wrecked in your car, and they will try to kill you, that is until you place your car in the parking lot, and go to a bar, with the same people AGAIN. Only this time they'll happily pass the time of day with you.
Of course this works both ways, if you have a bounty on someone you have to ram their hevily armoured and powerful car off the road. You may not wait until they get out of it. They could be a paraplegic midget with a heart defect, and yet the best driver in the world, but the rules dictate that you must always attack when the enemy is ready for you, and esconsed in a heavily-armed killing machine.
As a further note, imagine that the Mafia and the Yakuza have weapons and capabilities that FAR outweigh those of the police and even the military, and yet for some reason they choose to stay out in the boonies, occasionally picking off someone dumb enough to come their way, then fighting over the scraps. Their weapons are such that they cannot even be harmed by the authorities, but their philosophy seems to be "We're criminals, it's not like we're greedy."
Oh and cops searching without a warrant? Where the hell did the Fourth Amendment go?
"Mind if I take a look in your hold..."
"Actually yes, you need probably cause and federal authorisation"
"...didn't think so"
"Get me Ken Starr!"
