Fake Freelancer CD Being SOld on ebay

WHile I was on ebay just checking out how may copies of freelancer they had for sale I came across this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... otohosting

NOtice that the cd the guy has in his pictures is not hte original freelancer cd. The disk art is completely different from mine. I also had the preview which is differnt than what the guy posted. ANyone hve any CDs that look like that?

Looks just like mine. And I got it out of the stores. So nothing wrong with that one.

this is mine:

The one he has is not real. It doesnt have the microsoft or DA logo.
It doesn't have the "do not make illigal copies of this disk" on it...

Its fake.

There are many versions of FL with many versions of packaging. Hey, they have different languages in various countries, why not different packaging?

My CD doesn't look like the one posted. In fact, it has Trent on the right side ... not the left. Says Microsoft though.

Seems if someone were going to bootleg the CD, they'd make an exact copy and not design a new image for it.

p.s. I think I realise what happened to the Hispania now. Microsoft designed it. No wonder it crashed!

That CD's the real deal.

Even in the States the CDs are pressed in different places, so different art is not unimaginable. Linear thinks strikes again.

my uk cd is different to that
but i doubt they would use the same graphics everywhere as that would be a sensible thing to do
even if someone faked the disc i suspect they would at least use the genuine graphics of thier original copy
why would they go to the effort of coming up with new graphics for a fake ?

cmon boys it might look real but there's fake evrything on Ebay. Virtually every animé DVD I've bought on Ebay turned out to be fake, loads of games turn out to be fakes, basically if the price looks too good 2 be true then it prob isn't true. how much was/is this being flogged for? I can't be a***ed to look 4 myself...
