The intro makes a point that all five ships got through to the Sirius sector, but during the game you only run in to Bretonia Liberty Kusari and Rheinland.... (not to mention border worlds etc.)

do you find out later? has this come up before... I probably just missed it..

If I told you precisely, it would be a spoiler. But yes, you do find out what happened eventually. It depends on what systems you go to. As just a hint, look at the names some of the faction pilots have. Should give you an idea of what ship their ancestors came to the Sirius system on from the old solar system.

I suggest you just play along and find out. You can look at the spoilers forum and find out, but that would sort of spoil the fun of discovering it yourself.

Is it just me, or does it seem like less people are being bred who know what the term "search forums" means?

If the United States government really has no knowledge of space aliens, then why does Title 14, Section 1211 of the Code of Federal Regulations, implemented on July 16, 1969, make it illegal for U.S. citizens to have any contact with extraterrestrials or their vehicles?
