Favourite Trade route
I was wondering for those of us who like to build up their guys the old fashioned way, whats your fav trade route that you have staked out. Could be for various reasons, i.e. speed, rep, scenic locale, etc..
I currently run 2 depending on if there is any idiot pker's hanging around trying to jump me for no reason (this character is a peaceful trader, who spent a very brief period as a pirate to befriend the rogues)
The first route I had was this:
Purchase diamonds in dresden (Either at the main base, or hidden pirate base dependign on rep)
Take them to New Tokyo planet and dump them.
Grab a bunch of.uhm.. that metal that starts with n..niridium or something
and drop that off in New Berlin, one of the stations
Pick up some H-Fuel at the border base and head back into dresden and sell it
Total round trip nets me a profit of 2232 Credits/cargo hold and takes 40 minutes, so you can do 1.5 trips an hour for a profit of about 3400 credits an hour/cargo hold.
Works out to a lovely 935,000/hour for a dromedary. Now depending on your rep this is either a hard or easy run. I have a nice neutral rep with everyone but the unioners. But theya re no match for me right now (I'm currently in a drone, and I can usually blast them to pieces before they get off many shots) I maybe get knocked out of the trade lanes about 3-4 times per one way, so 6-8 tmes per round trip though only attacked maybe 1-2 times total...
Now some PK who blew me to smithereens before I got my drone on my first run through this for no reason (me level 11, him level 55) I spent 50% of my money on a hold of 35 diamonds, and shoots me up.. then called me names.. to this day I have no idea who he is or what his problem was...
Anyway I decided to go a different route for a bit. I changed the route to go from buffalo base (getting diamonds at 836) taking them to new tokyo, picking up engine parts and taking them to Baltimore station
That round trip would net me about: 1300/cargo hold with about the same time frame, a little less about 30 minutes if I'm quick and don't get knocked out of the trade lanes.. so I could do 2 an hour for 2600/hold and a total of 715,000/hour with a dromedary.. not shabby, but not as good. Though really less work because there is two less stops (you need to stop twice in new berlin in the other route)
Now for extreme safety so long as there aren't some ****s trolling NY, you can always do the run between fort bush and Planet pittsburgh for I think 379000/hour in a dromedary...
So does anyone else have any different or slightly changed routes then the ones I take that are quick and profitable? or just fun and safe?
