How do you create epic battles between huge capital ships an

I have heard that it is possible to edit a gamefile(s) to randomly see epic battles once in a while. I believe this feature is shown in Dan's Rebalance Mod, but I have been having problems with that mod and would just like to know how to rewrite a gamefile itself to do this. Thank you all for your help in advance.

Just put to oppsing factions like the Corsiars and the Hessians in a platro or a random event in the same place with battle ships

Last I heard in the editing forum, putting opposing cap ships together won't do any good because they won't shoot at each other.
