if you like to be "patient" in killing ppl with all sunblasts.. well thats okay...

it is better than any class 6 weapon it fires over 8 times a second has best range and best speed and takes little energy. It also does a lot of damage for something that uses 19 energy and fires very fast

The Advanced Tarantula and Pyros Type 3 both do more damage than the Sunblast A over one second and are more energy efficient to boot. (The Advanced Tarantula just has a slightly shorter range than the Pyros.)

If the Drake could mount class 7 weapons, the Sunblast B would be the way to go, though.

The energy usage is consumed per shot, so an 8.33 refiring wep will
consume much more energy than u may think.
Try mounting all SKyblastBs on a VHF and watch your energy- you'll see what I mean.

I actually like 0bSiDe0's missile variant more and more as i think of it. It has some head on power for damaging VHF's who attempt to nail you head on. And not only that, it allows you to keep your energy usage down, which is a problem for the drake even with class 5 and 6 guns. With the 4-gun loadout I find I have a bead on my enemy 90% of the time, and the power consumption of this constant firing makes toggling weapon loadouts (from all 4 guns, to just the pyros) almost a necessity as you chew through the enemy's hull slowly but surely. A missile-based loadout would remove this problem. I have yet to test the loadout, but I have high hopes for it. Given the length of the average Drake vs VHF contest, there should be lots of time to land a few missiles.

It still takes awhile and is costly, but NOTHING like trying to keep stocked up on Cannonballs and Neutralizers! If the VHF pilot is quick w/ countermeasure it takes even longer... but I've had several folks say outright in-fight "GAWD! THat thing is impossible to HIT!"... heheheh
Yup.
